Fusion Incorporated UK Ltd opened its first brazing paste and powder manufacturing facility in the UK in 1986. The aim was to introduce the concept of “total responsibility” to the European market – a coordinated approach for manufacturing paste alloys, applicators and equipment, with expert installation and servicing.
Today, Fusion Incorporated UK Ltd supplies brazing paste, soldering paste and powders to almost every Western, Central and Eastern European market, as well as countries in Africa and the Middle East. Companies throughout Europe have automated their brazing processes with machines designed and built by our parent company Fusion Inc.
Fusion Inc. is the leader in brazing and soldering automation. Our pastes, along with Fusion applicators, equipment and design expertise, provide our customers a single, reliable source for all their brazing and soldering needs and a more effective alternative to brazing rods and brazing rings.
OUR HISTORY
Since 1933, Fusion Incorporated UK Ltd has been at the forefront of brazing and soldering paste innovation. Our first products focused on solder paste alloys and although solder was not a novel concept, combining our powder with an activated flux binder and making it available in a paste form certainly was. This gave improved manufacturing flexibility within the metal-joining industry and established Fusion Incorporated UK Ltd as a key supplier in this field.
The product line was soon expanded to include alloys for higher temperature brazing processes. In the early 1950s, Fusion scored another industry “first”, introducing automatic paste applicators to allow a precise, repeatable method of dispensing brazing and solder pastes.
The success of the applicators led to the formation of Fusion’s Machine Division, which allowed even greater scope for customer support as it was now possible to design and manufacture bespoke, complex machines to fully automate manufacturing processes.
